Painting with Wool Workshop
with Eya Ozerova

This workshop is the perfect way to explore the art of wool drawing and painting with an experienced instructor -  Eya Ozerova well-known artist and art instructor. Under the guidance of Eya Ozerova, you'll learn new medium techniques and the ways to achieve artistic expressiveness using wool drawing.

Each participant will learn the technique, and will create their own piece of felt art under Eya Ozerova's professional instructions, giving you the opportunity to learn principles and elements of design and ways to implement them in your art.

The process of felt art making is very playful and very easy even for children and helps to discover an artist inside of you. The material such is eco dyed sheep wool and the felting technique itself make this class very valuable for your mental and emotional health.

This technique brings so many ways to create! We could do very light, achromatic or graphic pieces. Just listen to your artistic heart and follow it!

Duration: 6-7 hours, please, bring a bag lunch

Level: all levels

All materials are provided. in this workshop, we will use unique materials such as fine merino fibers with great colors variations from Italy, and felt fabric. All are included in this price.

About the artist:

Eya is a Los Angeles-based artist, born in Ukraine. She holds an MFA degree from the Stroganoff University of Applied Arts in Moscow. In 1995-2000 she developed a new textile art technology she called “Soft Art” which uses sheep’s wool fibers as an art medium. In 2009 she published the book “Pictorial Felt” (AST PRESS, Moscow). She works in different media but her passion is needle felted large panels she calls non-woven tapestries. Eya gives lots of workshops all around the world. Recently started providing healing art retreats and private healing art sessions. Believes in that felting art with her special guidance helps people to relieve stress and trauma and transform their lives for better.
