Summer Camps 2024 in Newark for kids and teens
For our summer programs, we love to come up with new exciting projects, teach different techniques, include play elements, and have meaningful time together in the camps!

Seriously, our camps are never boring! We teach kids to be creative, independent, and think critically by giving them open-ended questions and assignments. Our projects are geared toward your child's age and interests while allowing them to explore their creativity in a safe and friendly environment.

The teacher-student ratio is no more than 1:7. We do not have more than 22 students in the whole studio at once (and our studio is almost 2,000 sq.ft).

This arts and crafts camp is highly focused on solving engineering problems. Kids will build their own mini-city with all the infrastructure in it. Students will make their dream houses as well as shops, schools, parks, roads, bridges, and more. At the end of the camp, kids will take their creations home to enjoy and play with them.

This arts and crafts camp with theatrical component is inspired by imaginative works of Lewis Carroll. In this hands-on camp we will have Mad Tea Party at Mad Hatter residence, will "plant" some garden flowers, and experience some adventures with White Rabbit and Queen of Hearts.
We will make our creation out of cardboard and paper, sculpt with clay, and paint with acrylics and watercolors.

At this camp, we will combine collage techniques, watercolor, drawing, painting, doodling, and other unexpected art media. You will learn how to turn simple photo portraits into unique art pieces. You can make an amazing poster, unforgettable gifts for your friends, or even a greeting card for your grandma. The possibilities are endless!

Explore the world of clay! Each day students will choose their own theme for the day and depict it using clay and other materials. The students will learn proper techniques to work with clay and will take a lot of projects home. We will work on new projects every day. Projects will include, but not limited to Animal World, Native Arts, Art History, and more.
No previous experience is necessary. Challenging assignments can be provided to advanced students.

Welcome to discover the best instrument for exploring your creativity and gaining emotional balance! Magic Patterns will take you into a deep immersion into the world of symbols and meanings, intuition, and beauty. During those five days, you will learn the difference between zen tangling and doodling.
Students will study more than 20 basic patterns and how to use, combine, and transform them. They will learn what a pattern journal is, and you will start your own Tangle collection.
As a result of this Summer camp, you’ll take home 3 to 5 unique creative projects and priceless knowledge that you can practice every day to push your creativity or as a perfect instrument for mental balancing and concentration!

OIL PAINTING CAMP

Oil paints have been used by artists for centuries. Oils have wonderful advantages over acrylic paints, and there are some techniques artists use to make successful oil paintings. We will go through a series of exercises to build a confidence in using, mixing, and applying oils. There will be a challenging options for advanced students.
We will use non-toxic water-mixable oils for our projects.

This camp will help you combine your drawing skills and your passion for patterns. Starting from the very simple shapes, this camp will lead you to the amazing art pieces in just five days! Let’s discover limitless possibilities of Zentangle in our Magic Patterns Summer Camp.

This hands-on adventurous camp for kids 5-10 y.o. In this camp, kids will build Fairy houses, and make as many fairies (or gnomes) as they want to populate Fairy Village. Brave pirates will sail the ship across the Dangerous Sea looking for hidden treasures. Great camp for kids who love adventure and magic!

Students can bring a book to read and any personal care products (face covering, hand sanitizer, etc).

You will need to fill out the required paperwork online or in-studio on the first day of camp, so plan accordingly (check your email for more info 1 day before camp).

All materials are provided unless specified.
Cancellation policy:
Camps cannot be prorated and no refund can be given for any missed days, late registrations, or dropped camps.
A refund will be given if you notify us 1 month (30 days) prior first day of camp. As always, a 3.5% bank processing fee will be deducted from your refund.
Less than 30 days cancellation (30 days - 7 business days) - we will be happy to offer you 100% studio credit or transfer to any other studio camp (can be applied to any studio classes and programs).
If you are canceling the camp less than 7 business days prior to the first day of camp - we won't be able to offer you a refund. In any case, contact us and we will be happy to help.
A full refund will be given if the camp is canceled by Imaginook LLC.
