Summer Camps 2022 in Newark for kids and teens
Our summer camps are never boring! We teach kids to be creative, independent, and critical thinkers by giving them open-ended questions and assignments. Our projects are geared toward your child's age and interests while allowing them to explore their own creativity in a safe and friendly environment.

Summer Programs 2022 include Summer Art, Craft, and Digital Art Camps for kids 5-16 y.o., kids, teens, and adults Summer Art Classes, and Extended Care (1-3 pm) for our registered campers, starting June 20, 2022. We love to help you achieve your goals this summer!

LIVING IN A CITY

This arts and crafts camp is highly focused on solving engineering problems. Kids will build their own mini-city with all the infrastructure in it. Students will make their dream houses as well as shops, schools, parks, roads, bridges, and more. At the end of the camp, kids will take their creations home to enjoy and play with them.

OUTDOOR PAINTING

Painting outside is so much fun! Let's go out and paint outdoor! Summer is a wonderful time to learn how to capture landscapes and views in natural light.
Take your sun hat, sunscreen, and water - we will bring paint and easels.
We will be painting at Quarry Lakes and other local parks. Parents provide transportation to the park.

Digital Drawing, Animation, and Character Design
June 13-17, 2022

In this camp, students will learn proper drawing and sketching techniques, light, shadows to create their characters and bring them to life. We will work on paper and on iPads. This is a great chance to introduce iPad as a tool for drawing, and not playing.
You can bring your own iPad with a stylus, install apps: Procreate and FlipaClip. Procreate supports the following iPad models: 12.9-inch iPad Pro (1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation) 11-inch iPad Pro. 10.5-inch iPad Pro. 9.7-inch iPad Pro. iPad (5th, 6th and 7th generation) iPad Air 2 / iPad Air 3. iPad mini 4 / iPad mini 5.
Let us know in advance if you need an iPad for your student to use during the camp.

FAIRIES AND PIRATES

Garden Fairies, Water Fairies, Animal Fairies, how many types of fairies do you know? In this camp, kids will build Fairy houses, and make as many fairies (or gnomes) as they want to populate Fairy Village. Brave pirates will sail the ship across the Dangerous Sea looking for hidden treasures.

3-D ANIMATION

Have you always wanted to try making 3-D computer animation? This summer class/camp is for you. Kids will learn through a series of animation exercises, create their own characters, and prepare them for animation. You will need to bring your own laptop, and install Blender before the first day of the camp.

MODERN WATERCOLOR

In this camp, we will learn modern techniques for watercolor paintings. We will explore wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry techniques, work with resist and texture. We will focus on water control and make several watercolor paintings on different subjects.

During this week of summer camps, we will travel through time and space. Students will have breakfast in the Cave of Altamira, learn about Ancient Egypt, Renaissance inventions, and Modern Art. We will do a lot of hands-on projects to make Art History interesting for kids.

Claymation and Stop-motion Animation

This camp is a crash course on stop-motion animation: building characters, sets, and storytelling. We will learn a lot of crafting, sculpting, and animating techniques. We will work on creating our own world and animating it.

HUMAN DRAWING

HARRY POTTER AND THE SCHOOL OF MAGIC

It’s summer break, but the magic school is still open and full of secrets. Students will have their classes according to the Hogwartz schedule: wand making, charms, potions, and Quidditch practice. Be ready for magical adventures! The camp is inspired by the books by J.K.Rowlings.
Young witches and wizards do not have to be familiar with the books to have a great time!

General Rules for Camps:
Art Camp is messy fun, put on clothes you don't mind being soiled.
Bring your own snacks and water bottle.
Students can bring a book to read and any personal care products (face covering, hand sanitizer, etc).
You will need to fill out the required paperwork online or in-studio on the first day of camp, so plan accordingly (check your email for more info 1 day before camp).
Extended Care is available for registered campers only!
All materials are provided unless specified.
We are following all county, CDC guidelines, and requirements concerning the spread of COVID-19.
At this time, masks are recommended, but not required.
Once new guidelines to the Camp and Child Care operations will be issued we might be able to accommodate more students. Send us an email if you have any questions.
The health of our students and staff is our highest priority.
Cancellation policy:
Camps cannot be prorated and no refund can be given for any missed days, late registrations, or dropped camps.
A refund will be given if you notify us 1 month (30 days) prior first day of camp. As always, a 3.5% bank processing fee will be deducted from your refund.
Less than 30 days cancellation (30 days - 7 business days) - we will be happy to offer you 100% studio credit or transfer to any other studio camp (can be applied to any studio classes and programs).
If you are canceling the camp less than 7 business days prior to the first day of camp - we won't be able to offer you a refund. In any case, contact us and we will be happy to help.
A full refund will be given if the camp is canceled by Imaginook LLC.
